Who We Are
We're a small team of Subnautica players who have been exploring alien oceans since the original game. When Subnautica 2 launched into Early Access on May 14, 2026, we started documenting everything on Proteus â resource locations, blueprints, Adaptations, base building, co-op strategy â and this site is the result.
Our goal is simple: be the most accurate, most current Subnautica 2 resource on the web. That means clear answers up front, exact recipes and locations, and honest labeling when information is an estimate or not yet confirmed by the developers.
Editorial Policy
- Tested in-game: every guide on this site is verified by playing Subnautica 2 Early Access ourselves. Recipes, locations, and mechanics are confirmed in-game before publication.
- Updated every patch: Subnautica 2 is a living Early Access title. We review and update our guides with each update â including the upcoming EA 1.1 and EA 1.2 patches â and stamp every page with its last-updated date.
- Estimates are labeled: where official data doesn't exist yet (for example, system requirements or save-file paths), we clearly mark the information as an estimate and point readers to official sources.
- No paywalls, no fluff: all content is free. Subnautica 2 itself has no microtransactions, and neither does our coverage.
How Content Is Made
Each guide follows the same process: we play the relevant system hands-on, record exact requirements and locations, cross-check against official developer communications and roadmap posts, then write the guide with the direct answer first â because we know most readers arrive from search with one specific question. Where a topic has a known bottleneck (Silver, oxygen, inventory), we link to the deeper guides that solve it, like our Beginner Tips and Resource Locations pages.
Subnautica 2 is in active development and expected to remain in Early Access for 2â3 years. Mechanics, recipes, and locations can change between updates â always check the "Last updated" date at the top of each guide.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously, but Early Access games move fast and mistakes happen. If you spot an error â a wrong recipe, a moved spawn location, an outdated patch note â email us and we'll verify it in-game and correct the page. Confirmed corrections are applied promptly, and the page's updated date is changed to reflect the revision.
